Fans of the original may remember the chills they would get when the theme music for Unsolved Mysteries came on. I know it would scare the heck out of me! Well now it has been rebooted and has the same theme music! Internet sleuths’ will sure get a kick out of what this series has in store.
This season is about murders and mysteries (with the exception of one) that happened after the original Unsolved Mysteries went off the air. The first episode is about a man who goes missing and is found later dead, from a mysterious fall into a hotel convention room. His death was ruled as a suicide by the police, but the medical examiner and the family are not convinced. The fall would have had to been from a very high height for him to go through the building like he did, his items he had on him were found nearby but with no scratches. There is one suspect people think it is about but I will you find out who that is.
Th next following episodes are similar to the first, woman goes missing under mysterious circumstances (with an interesting detail regarding her ashes), a family murdered in France, a possible hate crime committed to a young black male, a 1969 phenomon that affected many people in an area of Massachusetts and a plot surrounding a mother having killed her children’s step father.
The show was so easy to binge. It reminded me of when I would watch the old show when I was a kid. Although I’m a little less scared as I would associate the host with the scary music. His appearance and voice terrified me. It made me feel like I was about to be abducted, which is likely what the show was going for.
Each episode was captivating, although I had trouble following the aristocrat episode as it was all in French. It was still an episode worth viewing however. I believe those who love true crime shows will not be disappointed with this reboot and will be yearning for a new season soon!
