Welcome to the Payback Review.
The IIconics vs The Riott Squaid will start us off.
Ruby is chasing Peyton outside the ring and walks into a kicked kick from Billie. The Icconics have moved away from the comed and now look and move like a tag team. A little strange that Ruby is in peril.
Peyton is able to knock Liv off the apron and say that Ruby is the one who did it. Liv starts to walk off, but comes back and gets the hot tag. She stomps Peyton in the corner from the top rope.
Liv knocks Billie off the apron and both her and Ruby hit their moves on Peyton. Ruby is the legal Superstar and gets the pin.
Apollo Crews vs. Bobby Lashley for the US Championship is next.
Lashley throws Crews to ground and hits the ropes. Usually, this would mean that Crews would go on his belly and Lashley jumps over. Instead Crews pops up and his a standing jump kick.
Lashley is just so freakishly strong. He throws Crews all around the ring. Benjamin and MVP are ring side, but are staying out of it for now.
A Dominater from Lashley only gets a two. Crews get some momentum back with a spinebuster and a standing moonsault.
Crews hits a frog splash, but only gets two. Lashley hits a huge standing choke-slam and locks in the Full Lashley for the submission. The Hurt Business has a championship.
Big E vs Sheamus
Big E is fired up. At one point, he rolls Sheamus off his back with no hands. Never saw that move before.
Sheamus starts targeting E leg. Strikes and submission moves in order to weaken that leg. Sheamus hits a kick on a sitting E.
Big E starts coming back. A wicked uranaghi stuns The Celtic Warrior. Sheamus gets some back, but E hits a big spear, Sheamus gets a heel hook and follows with a Brogue Knee?
Both men look weary. Sheamus goes for a Brogue Kick, but Big E grabs him and powerbombs him. One Big Ending later and Big E picks up the pin. Great match!
Matt Riddle vs. Baron Corbin is next
Corbin attacks Riddle as he jumps in the ring. Both men come out swinging.
Corbin has the power, but Riddle just has insane reach. Corbin tries to run back into the ring, and Rifddle meats him with a kick.
Corbin hits a deep Six, but only gets two. He tries to slam Riddle, but Riddle fights out. A Floating Bro later and Riddle wins
Backstage, Riddle is attacked by a furious Corbin and thrown hard to the floor.
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs Sasha Banks and Bayley for the Tag Team Championship.
Banks makes the unfortunate choice of trying to match strikes with Baszler. Baszler handles both women until until she is thrown into Jax and The Role Models take control.
Jax gets up and Banks is swung head first into the ring mats. Jax comes in and Bayley gets thrown into the wrong corner. Banks chops Nia’s knee to break it up.
Jax is rolling, even at one point using Banks as a wepon. She drags Bayley, who is grabbing her leg, over to the corner. Baszler tags in to join the fun.
Banks and Bayley finally get Nia down. an Elbow and a Frog Splash do not get the job done. Baszler comes in and in one of the most creative finishers ever, puts both ladies into different submission moves at the same time. Taps all around.
Keith Lee vs Randy Orton
To his credit, Randy Orton comes right at Lee. Lee gets hit but does not go down. Orton tries chops, and Lee slaps him down like a fly. Orton is finally able to slam Lee on the announcer’s table.
Lee comes back strong, hitting a running tackle that sends Orton out of the ring. He slams Orton on that same table.
Orton hits the setup up for the RKO, but Lee pops him up for a powerbomb for the three. Lee looks a little emotional after the win.
The Mysterios vs Seth Rollins and Murphy.
The Mysterios have a plan. They are all over Seth to begin with and Rollins gets frustrated. The two tag team until Seth hits a gut buster to slow things down.
Seth throws Rey out of the ring and and onto Murphy’s knees. Murphy and Seth keep Rey isolated until he makes a tag to Dominic . Seth immediately hits a Falcon Arrow.
Rey and Dominic are able to disrupt the flow Rollins and Murphy got going. A missed 619 leds to Seth hitting a back breaker. Murphy is taken out, and Rollins is fighting alone.
Seth misses the Stomp on Rey. He is able to ground Rey. Murphy goes to kickRey, but hits Seth. Rey takes Seth down and Dom is able to his a 619 and a Frog Splash for the win.
Triple Threat for the WWE Championship is up last.
The match starts with The Fiend and Strowman fighting with no Roman in sight. The Fiend slams Strowman through the table. Strowman throws a chair at The Fiend. Chaos.
A quick cut of Bliss looking (longingly? fearfully? ) at the Fiend backstage. The Fiend is just tearing through Strowman. Strowman recovers to send both men off the stage through a table.
Strowman hits a superplex from the top rope and the ring implodes. Reigns shows up with a chair. Thye Fiend fights back, but Reigns throws him out of the ring. Reigns hits a Spear on Strownman and gets the three for the Championship.
Results
The Riott Squad beat the IIconics.
Lashley beat Crews to become the new US Champion.
Big E beats Sheamus.
Riddle beats Corbin.
Jax and Baszler beat Banks and Bayley to become the new Tag Team Champions.
Lee beat Orton
The Mysterios beat Seth Rollins and Murphy.
Reigns wins the Triple Threat to become the new WWE Champion
