For someone that has not fully wrapped their head around the complete concept of SCPs and why they exist and do what they do, I still know that I have to survive. Running into different SCPs will either cause death, or something weird to happen, being able to remember them all and act against them is a different story. I particularly like any SCPs that are just cute and extra and kind of pointless, like the little ducks.
The goal in this game however, is to try and escape the facility without anything to defend yourself. You must craft items you find in order to use them later to escape, like the infamous level 5 keycard. Now though, your character has a hunger and thirst meter, this is new. Honestly, we can’t seem to figure out why just yet. Also, you seem to have been detained and are being forced to work at a facility that may or may not get you killed. Maybe the plot will make more sense to players that have followed the history of SCP in the past, just survive ok?
SCP: The Foundation is currently in the alpha phase, so the choice has been made not to rate this game until down the road. Developer Danstarr13 has been putting a lot of time into the game and is doing an all-call for players everywhere. He specifically wants to know where the bugs are and how he can improve as a whole, and I like that. So far the ratings have been very mixed, but as with any new game, the bugs are plenty.
So far, the bugs that have shown up are, wonky controls, characters that aren’t active when they should be, walls leading nowhere and the inability to save your game sometimes. Rest assured, he will be getting to all of that. Luckily for everyone, the game is free right now so you can play around however you want. One person mentioned not having access to God Mode, but this doesn’t seem to be something that everyone gets to do. So just enjoy the game for what it is and play around and see what you would want added.
Rating: N/A (But I like what I see)
