Love is a battlefield, especially if your crush has seven evil exes ready to do battle with you. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game Complete Edition , created by Ubisoft, brings you into the world with Scott and all his allies as the punch and kick their way through seven levels. It’s a mindless bit of fun and a great addition to the beat’um’up genre.
Choose one of seven characters and try and make your way across the stage. Each character has their own move set and weapons to use. Collecting coins allows you to buy powerups at stores and also upgrade your skill. Once you get through the game, you can unlock special modes, such as putting Scott through a boss rush or a horror mode.
If you are saying “Hey Erin. This game is not new. It came out almost ten years ago.” you are correct. The game was digital only, but was removed due to the license expiring. For years, fans have been asking for the return of the game and with this edition, they finally got their wish. It comes with all DLC included so fans and newcomers can experience the full version.
I am one of those newcomers, so what do I think? It is a really fun game, something to spend a few hours with. When you beat a level, you want to try again with a new character or beat your time. The soundtrack is great and the graphics look like the graphic novel. The movie and novel was always about video games, so it is nice we now have an actually game to complete the circle.
