Welcome to the Dynamite review for November 23, 2022
Chicago
It was going to be interesting when AEW showed up in Chicago. The status of CM Punk is still up in the air and depending on who you ask, the right or wrong people were wrestling. The Elite was treated with disdain as multiple chants for Chicago’s favorite son rang out. Kenny and The Bucks played it up, using moves that referenced the brawl from a few months ago. The problem is not a group being cheered in one placed and booed in another (Bret Hart was the master in the early nineties of this) The problem is not telling the audience where the company stands with Punk.
On the other side of things, William Regal not giving answers why he betrayed Jon Moxley is a genius move. There might be a hosts of reasons, there may be none at all. Bryan Danielson letting Regal run away, but not betraying Moxley shows there might be more going on then expected. MJF was not there, but it feels like a master chess player is just biding his time.
