When developer Teyon Games released “Terminator Resistance” in 2019, the world was about to come to a full stop not because of technology, but disease. Yet, the very good first-person shooter that was “Resistance” failed to garner much attention mostly due to it being a AA game heavily rooted in old generation-style gameplay even if said gameplay proved charming, exhilarating, and down-right fun from beginning to end alongside one of the better “Terminator” stories found in any medium.
Not to be discouraged, Teyon Games gathered another license of a beloved movie franchise that was birthed in the 1980s, “Robocop”. Teyon Games refused to rock the boat and make something failing to reflect what made the original movie such a success while also using the gameplay template from “Resistance”. But will it pay off in the long run? It’s time to protect the people, try to outdo ED-209 in a firing competition, and enjoy these first impressions of “Robocop Rogue City”.
