Nothing tugs at the heart strings more than this extra episode (spoilers for those who haven’t played the original and prequel episodes) of the adventures of Maxine Caulfield and Chloe Price at ages 13.
In this episode, Max and Chloe are up to pirate hijinks. The episode starts with the duo blowing up dolls with fireworks then searching the room for items Chloe no longer needs. Max is battling with telling Chloe that she is moving to Seattle in a couple of days or making the most of the day together.
Max is tasked with searching the attic for an item that would help in their pirate adventure, then to help Chloe finding where their treasure is buried. During that time, the player can search the backyard for old memories and pay respects to a pet long past.
What made this episode very emotional was that Chloe’s father had protected the buried treasure and recorded a pirate mix tape for Max and Chloe for when they found it. It is in this same episode that Chloe and Max find out that Chloe’s dad William was in a car accident that took his life.
This episode gave players closure and more backstory about the friendship of these two young rebels, one that won’t soon be forgotten.
