I am pretty stoked to introduce you to the April Cosplayer of the month. The first time I saw his Cosplay I thought it was Hugh Jackman as Logan. That is how good it truly is. Of course, I followed and then was treated to his amazing Wolverine cosplay and as an added bonus, he cosplays with his daughter, Adriana as Laura/X23. Which, also is completely on point. Please get to know, the magnificent, That One Cosplayer Guy.
Let us start off by saying, your Logan is simply the best in cosplay. What inspired you to start cosplaying Wolverine/Logan?
I grew up reading and watching x-men as a child and of course wolverine was my favorite out of all of them. In 2009 I decided to do a wolverine costume for Halloween. I remember buying these cheap claws on eBay and ended up buying a leather jacket..during that time I wasn’t able to grow wolvie chops due to work so I had to use crepe hair to do them. I got a great response from it that I decided to do it every year for Halloween Until I starting hearing about cosplaying and Conventions..I am a big Hugh Jackman fan and I wanted to base my look to his so I decided to do research and try to create the most screen accurate cinematic version there is! So far I have different versions of the character.
We also love that your daughter (@thatonecosplayergirl) cosplays with you, who approached who about doing a Logan and daughter Laura/X23 cosplay team?
Before Logan came out, my daughter never cosplayed. She knew I did it, but she never thought about trying it out. When I found out that Hugh Jackman was going to do the character one last time, I knew that I had to be ready to find photo leaks during the production so I could get a good look at his new look. When the first wave of photos showed up he looked really old and he had a little with him, after a week, we found out that the little girl was going to be playing his daughter in the Movie and that the girl was gonna play Laura/X23. It’s like it was a sign to Introduce her to cosplaying. I asked Adriana if she wanted to cosplay Laura and she immediately said yes! So we began researching her outfit and we were lucky enough to get the shopkins glasses right before they started to sell out..when we saw the first trailer and it showed Dafne Keen with the glasses on, adriana knew that they were shopkins glasses. We pretty much got all our outfits together and it received positive feedback which made her love it enough to start cosplaying other characters and that’s pretty much how it all began for me and her as a duo.
Since you have been cosplaying, what would you say is the coolest or craziest thing to happen to you?
Just going to a con and people shouting “hey you’re thatonecosplayerguy!” And seeing other people’s work, I am sooo amazed about how talented people are!
What would you say is the most difficult cosplay or prop you have worked on to date?
Before really going full blown on wolverine I actually did a captain jack sparrow cosplay..I did that for about 5 years but then I decided to retire him..wearing all that make up and 30 pounds of gear pretty much wore me out. 
What are some other cosplay concepts you are working on now or would like to in the future?
I am currently gonna get started on Hugh Jackman’s P.T. Barnum from the Greatest Showman.
Outside of being a cosplayer, what are some other hobbies you have?
I love to play video games, watch movies and I loooooove watching wrestling (WWE).
What is the next event we can expect to see cosplay from you?
Wizard World Portland.
What would you say that being a cosplayer has changed about you as a person?
It’s taught me how to be humble. We all share the same passion. I feel more confident in myself.
What is your advice to those just getting into cosplay?
Cosplay whoever you want, start slow, don’t rush yourself..avoid any negativity that comes your way..feed off of it..because in the end you are the one winning. Be courteous and don’t be afraid to ask for any help. We are all on the same team.
