Mojang the developers of the highly addictive and popular game Minecraft posted an update about the upcoming film that has been in the works since 2014. Not many details were given regarding the project except that we know that the film will be “the story of a teenage girl and her unlikely group of adventurers,” Mojang said. “After the malevolent Ender Dragon sets out on a path of destruction, they must save their beautiful, blocky Overworld.”
Warner Bros. and the studio planned on releasing the film much earlier but due to creative push back the director was let go and replaced by Peter Sollett (Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist). The film is currently slated for a Mar 4, 2022 release, which seems like quite some time away. Given that this is one of the most hardcore fan bases in gaming, I’m pretty sure anticipation for the film will hold up. In the mean time grab that pick and keep chipping away…
