From Red Dev Studio S.A. comes a heavy metal inspired game. The game follows a lone warrior slashing his way through demons from Hell. It doesn’t get more metal than that.

Boss Fight Crimson

The lone knight is a troubled soul filled with hatred. His life is saved by a mysterious girl who is then taken by the demons of the underworld. He feels compelled to kill anything in his path that dares to challenge him. There are many beasts and traps that await this solo warrior, but he is more than prepared with the power of his magic and sword.

This game is unlike anything that Red Dev Studio has done before. Their games such as Professor Madhouse, Chicken Rider, Potato or Powertris are similar in gameplay but are not as gritty as this title. The game reminds me of the days of playing Contra on the SNES but with better graphics and music.

Upgrade Screen

Heavy metal enthusiasts can enjoy riffs by bands Decapitated and KORONAL which can be heard in boss battles. The style of the game is very dark which goes well with the music. The player will be fueled by the music and fast slashing through enemies as they progress through the game. There are various save points through the game but the player should not depend on them too much as there are some areas that they will be sent back to if they die. There are countless meetings with an old man on the road who foretells what the warrior will meet ahead. The warrior cares not, as he only wants to destroy.

All conversations are done in subtitles and the only person that can be heard speaking is the narrator. The controls can take some getting used to if playing on keyboard but can also be played with a controller. The fighting style is ideal as the player can cut through enemies pretty quick. The bigger demons take some finesse to take down but as long as the player has health potions and magic, they should be fine.

Demon Fight

This game is definitely up my alley as I’m an avid fan of heavy metal music and slasher-styled games. Players will not be bored of the countless enemies to cut through, fight combos and different endings. It is the type of game that if I’m having a bad day and really want to take out my frustration out on something virtual, this would be the game I would turn to.

Fans of gore, metal and dark fantasy horror should definitely check this title out!
