HBO has released it’s first look at Watchmen the series. This is HBO’s first dive into the superhero pool as they rework the classic graphic novel. Many already know that the Zach Synder big budget “Watchmen” film didn’t live up to expectations but also wasn’t a complete disaster.
The trailer is cryptic and vague, displaying a reality where superheroes are treated as outlaws and dangerous individuals, yet probably the only hope to save the world. The series stars Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson. Damon Lindelof’s Watchmen series is said to be a “re-imagining” rather than a linear follow up to the 2009 film.
No release date has been set but look out for Watchmen this fall on HBO.
