This is by far one of my personal favorite horror movie villains. To me, he was known as the Jeeper Creeper guy because of the name of the movie. A demon who awakens every 23rd spring for 23 days who feeds on humans to strengthen his own body.
One of the most famous kills he had was in front of a crew of police and the victim’s sister. Darry Jenner (Justin Long) was hoping to just go home for spring break with his sister Trish (Gina Philips). While going down the road they see The Creeper dumping a body down a drain. Rather than calling the police initially, they go see what is down the drain. Any sane person would have ran far away from what Darry saw when he fell down the drain. So many bodies in the basement of the church all sewn together like The Sistine Chapel. Some of the bodies were preserved there for centuries.
It doesn’t take long until The Creeper catches up to the Jenners. He leaves many bodies in his path and eventually chooses Darry for his meal of choice. It’s where he got those eyes.
There’s no real origin story on why he appears and does what he does. Jezelle is the only person who has details about him because of her psychic ability. He is an evil and ancient demon that awakens every 23rd spring to feast on people. He picks them out by smelling out their fears and if he likes what he smells…they become his dinner.
As a horror movie, it is a stellar concept that could be expanded more than what has already been shown. The Creeper is a character that instills fear in its viewers. His eyes are one of the most terrifying parts of him because his eyes show hunger.
If you see a vehicle as shown below with that license plate, I suggest going in the other direction lest he smells your fear and finds something he likes.
