Rental MarMiz
Mike and Maryse are looking for a new house in LA. Mike’s mom is coming too along with her large collection of dolls. The couple decide to rent to see what area they want to live in. The first house is a little bit pricey. The second house is beautiful, but the pet policy increases the price substantially. The third house is perfect, with a park nearby. They decide to take it. Mike rearranges his travel schedule, including a Pebble Beach golf thing he decides to keep.
The List
Moving Day has arrived. Mike has hired a moving company. They remember the good times. Mike pretends to leave, but grabs his golf club. Looks like he did not tell her. Maryse and her squad arrive in LA. Barb, Mike’s mom, unpacks her dolls and creeps everyone out. Maryse and Monroe meet some neighbors and she learns that preschool has a waiting list. She is freaked out.
George is a Rat
Maryse strikes out with some prospective schools, but does get a tutor to teach Monroe some Chinese. In Pebble Beach, Mike tells his dad where he is, but tells him not to tell Maryse. He waits about two seconds before he calls Maryse and the gig is up. Mike is live on television, and Maryse is angry. A call is rejected by Mike and Maryse calls for the dolls. Mike comes home and Maryse shows him his gym. With all the dolls staring at him. Mike apologies. Then we find out Maryse gave a platinum donation to get Monroe into preschool.
Line of the night: “What happened to us? We used to be cool.” Mike realizes his priorities have shifted since becoming a parent.
