Step aside Frankenweenie and Fido, here comes Reuben!
Many of us have maybe felt that we are in a funk in life. I know I have since this whole pandemic started. Netflix and Hulu shows are what have been getting me by. Hulu hasn’t disappointed with a new episode out of their series Into the Dark!

I think most of us recognize the main actress in this episode. Judy Greer has been in many movies in the last 20 years from 13 going on 30, 27 Dresses and Jurassic World. It was high time that she stopped playing the quirky best friend and had a lead role in something on her own. Enter Maggie, an aging writer that is desperately trying to find her happily ever after and succeed as a writer.

Things at her job start taking a turn and her boss suggests that maybe she should get an emotional support dog to help her with her feelings. She is insulted at first but then decides to check out the local pound. This is where she meets a small, seemingly friendly dog who’s last owner had just gone to prison. She decides that he is the one for her and brings him home. The first thing he does is steal her Reuben sandwich, which prompts her to name the dog this. Everything seems to be going well for her, but that is only because of Reuben. He isn’t a normal dog. He is very protective of Maggie and anyone who hurts her, he makes sure that they never survive the encounter.

As many of people should know about the Into the Dark series, they make their episodes for holiday’s. For June, it was for Pet Appreciation Week. It’s a different direction for Hulu to use a holiday that isn’t a recognized national holiday, but they can do what they want! All I can say is that this small pooch is deadly and for such a small dog, he packs quite the punch!

Good Boy is on Hulu now!
