Someone on this ship is trying to kill you. Really, they are. In fact, the killer might be you. Developer Innersloth created Among Us to test you and your friends to see who the real killers are. Get ready by doing tasks to get your ship to lift off, but beware, one of you is not there to help.
Among Us uses cute and simple space characters that run wildly around the ship, jumping through vents, doing small tasks like cleaning the ship, and more, in preparation to go into space. One person, however, is the impostor. Suddenly you may come across a corner and your teammate is dead. But who did it? You must call an emergency meeting to discuss who the real killer is. Then, you get to exile them from the team. If you fail to catch the impostor, then everyone may die. Either fill up the task meter first or catch the impostor. Simple right?
The layout of the game is very simple without distractions from the background, making the journey to your tasks simple to find. Keeping up with everyone else is the hard part. You all have stuff you need to do, but can you check the cameras and see where everyone is heading? If you can multitask then this should be easy. If you catch the impostor then even better! After a meeting is called, you will be able to speak to your group with your microphone or use chat to try to make your case. If you are the one killed, you become a ghost and can wonder around the map. Just respect the rules and don’t cheat.
There are a few games that show you a person’s character. Any one who seeks to level up their acting skills should play this game. If you are an impostor, you have to play dumb (quick tip: Don’t answer if someone asks you where they body is found unless you are the one who reported it). A good play is immediately blaming someone as soon as the meeting starts. There are just so many ways to play it. Make sure you have your most innocent voice if voice chat is active.
No two games of Among Us are the same. It is a game that is just as much fun to watch as it is to play. As Fall Guy showed, sometimes a little indie game can just come out of nowhere and get attention. The graphics are simple and the sounds create a tense atmosphere. Join the hunt or cause as much chaos as you can.
