Retsuko is back at it again with that heavy metal voice, will she find another outlet for this voice? Season 3 has all the details!
Not much has changed for this tiny red panda. She goes to work as an accountant and is diminishing her voice as she does it. She starts to lose money in VR, where she spends it on a virtual boyfriend. It is a very addicting game where the boyfriend is a unicorn. Fenneco catches onto this and tries to help her stop this spending on a video game character that doesn’t exist and won’t fulfill the young panda. Her advice falls on deaf ears and she continues down this money hole path.
Her money troubles eventually lead to her owing a well-dressed leopard who puts her in charge of an underground band’s finances. Ironic to have a character who is having money troubles handling money, but I digress. It eventually comes out that she is a death metal screamer in her spare time and the leopard, by the name of Hyoudou decides they need a new niche. Retsuko is soon thrown into the mix and they start to get a bigger following, but with that following comes sinister critics…
This was a highly enjoyable season as the viewers start to see Retusuko come out of her shell more. She speaks up more at work and is demanding more respect than she used to. Is this the last season though? It seems to be wrapped up that way. We will see if there are more crazy adventures of Retsuko the metalhead red panda. The OTMGirls reminded me of Baby Metal when they introduce Retsuko to the mix, with the rise in popularity in j-rock and j-metal bands, it was only a matter of time before this show would take a stab at it.
