Welcome to the WrestleMania 2021 Night 1 Review for April 10, 2021.

Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre (WWE Championship match)

After a rain delay, Drew and Bobby would kick things off. It is amazing how just having fans makes things feel normal. Both men were power hitting moves, with Lashley being just a step ahead of Drew. The Hurt Lock was Blocked and Bobby kicked out of an Alabama slam. Drew hit three Future Shock DDTs, but could not get the pin. A missed Claymore allowed Lashley to get the Hurt Lock and Drew passed out

Lashley beat McIntyre to retain the WWE Championship.

Tag Team Turmoil (Winner will face The Tag Team Champions on Night 2)

Lana/Naomi vs. Carmella and Billie Kay would start the match. A surprise, and illegal assist from Carmella elimination led Lana and Nomi to be eliminated and The Riott Squad came out next. The Riott Squad got the victory and Rose and Dana Brooke continued the match. A switch rollover led to The Riott Squad surviving and facing Tamina and Natalya for the prize. A Super Fly Splash led to the victory and a date with the Tag Team Champions

Tamina and Natalya won match and will face Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on Night 2.

Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro

Cesaro was going to swing Rollins and no one was going to stop him. Rollins had several clever counters as both men tried to wear each other down. Cesaro finally got to swing Seth nine times, but Rollins responded with a corkscrew dive. A sudden Neutralizer got two and three/fourths for the Swish Cyborg. Csearo SWUNG Seth with his neck (no this is not a typo), swung him over twenty times and hit a Neutralizer for the win.

Cesaro beat Seth Rollins.

New Day vs. Omas and AJ Styles (Raw Tag Team Championship match)

The New Day had only one goal: keep Omas out of the ring. Styles was being worn down as Austin and Kofi cut the ring in half and would not allow Styles to tag in. It turned out to be the truth as when Omas tagged in, the match was over. Omas destroyed the New Day, hitting moves with one arm and looking as dominating as a big man can. After a powerbomb on Kofi, it only took one foot for the pin.

Omas and Styles beat the New Day to become the new Raw Tag Team Champions

Shane McMahon vs Braun Strowman (Steel Cage Match)

Shane wisely introduced a chair almost immediately. To his credit, he did not try to escape and went after Strowman. The Monster Among Men just need one punch to Shane’s ten to knock the scrappy boss’s son down. Elias and Jax tried to help, but Strowman would not be denied. Shane almost got out, but Strowman pulled a wall of the cage down to bring him back in and then threw from the top of the cage. A running powerslam sealed the deal

Strowman beat Shane by pinfall.

Bad Bunny and Damien Priest vs. Miz and John Morrison

Miz wanted nothing to do with Priest and demanded that Bunny start the match. Bunny came in and showed not only that he knew how to hit, but also to take a few good bumps. Miz and Morrison had to work hard to bring down Bunny and when Priest got the tag, both men hit some impressive moves, including Bunny with a Canadian Destroyer. Bunny got the pin in a very good match.

Priest and Bunny beat Miz and Morrison.

Bianca Belair vs Sasha Banks (Smackdown Championship match)

There was nothing big in this match. No insane spots. This was about two women, Banks and Belair, building to a finish that deserves to be the main event of Wrestlemania. A hair whip shot left a hug scar on Banks. Belair hit the Kiss Of Death for the win. Watch this match
