Put this game on your radar! Releasing around June 10th, 2022, The Quarry, by Supermassive Games and publisher 2K Games is back at it with an amazingly smooth adventure horror thriller game, much like the game Until Dawn which was also created by Supermassive Games in 2015.

The plot follows a group of teens that are heading to camp for their positions as camp counselors when everything seems to go wrong on the last night of Summer. Along the way to Agate’s Quarry, something jumped out in front of their vehicles and caused a mess, and the teens are stuck at a temporary lodge. Soon, creatures and townsfolk that aren’t quite right make an appearance. You, the player, will need to help these kids survive by making difficult choices. What you do will impact the group and the ending of the game, so choose wisely.

Currently, the game is posted on the Steam website with one trailer and some in-game photos. A new trailer dropped online showing even more of the story. Be prepared to have your mind blown for the cast that is appearing this time. I won’t spoil that part for you all, just know the cast is epic!

I expect that this game will mirror a lot of sequences like Until dawn with quick time choice boxes and possibly some button sequencing. If anything, I hope that Supermassive Games also included the detailed friend and emotion panels to see who you are close with. I can’t wait to see what players come up with when it comes to letting everyone die or try to get everyone out and to safety.

The Quarry is rated M for mature due to some sexual references, blood, gore, violence, and strong language, so just keep this in mind. At a stout $59.99 (Deluxe edition $69.99) the price is completely worth the experience to me, considering previous examples of quality. Also, look for The Quarry on all platforms except the Nintendo Switch.

When the game releases, watch for another review of how everything turned out.
