Welcome to the WrestleMania 2022 Night 2 Review for April 3, 2022.

Triple Threat Match (Raw Tag Team Championship match)

This was always got to be a highlight reel, especially with the men in the match. Early highlights was Montez Ford diving onto the men on the floor and Chad Gable following him with a moonsault. Orton and Riddle both doing the vintage Orton slam on The Street Prophets. The Prophets hitting a blockbuster on Gable. Riddle hit a top rope RKO on Ford and Orton hit an RKO on a diving Gable for the pin

Orton and Riddle won The Triple Threat to retain the RAW Tag Team Championships.

Omas vs. Bobby Lashley

This was always going to be a power match. It’s amazing that Bobby Lashley looks small compared to Omas. Lashley kept getting in shots, but it only took one from Omas to knock him down. Omas even caught Lashley diving from the top rope. A suplex got Bobby back in the game and two spears sealed the deal.

Lashley pinned Omas

Johnny Knoxville vs. Sami Zayn (Anything Goes match)

All right, let’s have some fun. Knoxville brought out a fire extinguisher and some other toys to start things off. Things quickly turned into a hardcore match of old.  Knoxville was taking some huge hits. A table with mousetraps came out. Some of the crew of Jackass came out to help Johnny. Sami was pinned by a giant mousetrap (no this is not a joke) and Knoxville pinned Zayn

Fatal 4-Way (Tag Team Championship match)

Unlike the first match, only two women were in the ring at a time. This allowed for a less chaotic match. Baszler and Natalya brought the technical aspect. Banks and Naomi brought the athleticism, Liv and Rheaply were the favorites and Carmella and Vega were looking for any way to retain their titles. In the end, Banks pinned Carmella for the win.

Banks and Naomi won the Fatal 4-way to become the new Tag Team Champions.

Edge vs. AJ Styles

A dream match in everyone’s mind, Styles and a very evil Edge squared off. Styles was much more vicious, paying off the torment he had suffered for the past weeks. Edge waited, using this fiery temper to pick his opponent apart. As the match went on, both men went to more and more riskier moves. A distraction by Damien Priest allowed edge to hit a Spear on a diving Styles for the pin.

Edge pinned Styles

Sheamus and Ridge Holland vs. New Day

The New Day came out in gear inspired by Big E. Kofi almost ended early with a quick Trouble in Paradise. Butch looked like he would storm the ring at any moment. Sheamus hit two Brogue Kicks, one on Kofi and one on Xavier that allowed Ridge to get the pin. Butch attacked after the bell and his teammates had to pull him back.

Sheamus and Ridge pinned the New Day.

Pat McAfee vs. Austin Theory

Mr. Mcmahon accompanied Theory to the ring. McAfee came out swinging, even hitting a hurricanrana at one point. Theory took over for a moment, but McAfee came back, even putting on the headphones to narrate the beating he was giving Theory. McAfee hit some big spots, but the biggest was reversing Theory’s finshing move for the pin. Afterwards, Mr McMahon got in the ring and with some major help from Theory, pinned McAfee. That brought out Stone Cold who stunned, well everyone.

McAfee pinned Theory.

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns (Championship Match)

Both men were ready for this big fight. Lesnar struck first, hitting suplexs and knocked Reigns out of the ring. Reigns speared Lesnar into the time keeper’s area and once more in the ring. The battle went back and forth, each men giving and taking punishment. A surprise spear got Roman the pin and both belts.

Roman pinned Lesnar to become the Unified Champion

Match(s) of the Night

Roman vs. Lesnar. A few years ago, these men were both booed out of the main event. Not this time.
